Panama Independence Day 2016
Panama Independence Day 2016
Google Doodle is Celebrating Panama Independence Day 2016 by posting a beautiful Google Logo on its homepage.

The month of November is a time of celebration for Panama. It kicks off on the 3rd when Panamanians mark the country’s independence from Colombia with parades, and finishes on the 28th with a national holiday to remember Panama’s independence from Spain. During this time the red, white, and blue colors of the national flag can be seen everywhere, from clothing to decorations.

Today’s Doodle shows the Bridge of the Americas spanning the iconic, 50-mile-long Panama Canal.  An incredible 14,000 sea vessels from all over the globe pass along this waterway each year, and it can take up to 10 hours to travel the full length from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

Happy Independence Day Panama!
